INGREDIENTS:
- 200gm Paneer, cut into cubes
- 150gm Matter/Green Peas
- 1 Medium Sized Onion
- 1 Tspn Ginger Garlic paste
- 1 Medium Tomato, pureed
- 1 Tspn Cumin Seeds
- 1 Tspn Kasuri Methi
- 1 Tspn Garam Masala/ Paneer Masala
- 1Tspn Sugar
- 1 Tbspn Cashew Paste
- Chilli Powder, as per taste
- Milk
- Marinate the paneer cubes in milk enough only to coat it evenly. Do add a little salt too.
- Heat oil in a pan and add jeera. Then add the onions.
- After the onions caramelize, add the ginger garlic paste and cook till raw smell disappears.
- Add the tomato puree, turmeric powder, and salt to taste. Cook till oil starts appearing out of the masala. Add sugar.
- Add a cup of water, milk and cashew paste. Let it come to a boil. Add green peas and simmer till peas are well cooked and soft.
- Add the previously marinated paneer. Mix well.
- Add the garam masala/ paneer masala, chilli powder (as per taste) and crushed kasuri methi. Simmer till a thick gravy is obtained. Add water if gravy becomes too dry.
- A finger licking side dish is ready to be served with naan or roti or simply plain white rice. Serve hot !!
Add a cup of water, milk and cashew paste. Let it come to a boil. Add green peas. |
Simmer till peas are well cooked and soft. |
Add the previously marinated paneer. |
Add Kasuri Methi |
Add Paneer Masala or Garam Masala |
Simmer till a thick gravy is obtained. |
