INGREDIENTS
- 1 Cup Chana Dal, soaked overnight
- 1 Cup Rice, soaked overnight
- 1" Ginger
- 1 Tspn Cumin Seeds
- 1 Tspn Ajwain/ Carom Seeds
- 1-2 Green Chillies or as per taste
- Salt as per taste
- Blend the pre-soaked chana dal and rice with the other spices. Add water to make a smooth batter. Do not make the batter too thick nor too thin. It should have a medium consistency.
- Heat a tawa/ flat pan and grease it with oil. Pour a ladle full of batter and spread uniformly on the tawa.
- Once, one side is cooked ,flip and cook other side till crisp.
- Serve hot with sambar, any curry or simply coconut chutney.
